Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about photovoltaic panels, solar systems and solar energy.

What are the different types of photovoltaic panels?

  • Monocrystalline solar panels

  • Polycrystalline solar panels

  • Thin film solar panels

What is the warranty on solar panels?

The warranty on photovoltaic panels is usually quite long. There are 2 types of warranties - performance and equipment. The coverage range for most manufacturers is between 10 and 25 years. The equipment warranty is on average about 12 years.

How and how long are the solar panels delivered?

Delivery to us is made directly from China. Once an order is placed there is time for production, shipping by sea, clearance from customs and delivery to our warehouse. This usually takes about 2 - 3 months. To save you this waiting, we keep the products we offer in stock. Delivery to Bulgaria takes place within a week after payment.

Can I reserve solar panels and buy them at a later stage?

Yes. We have such an option. It applies both to existing malt products and to future ones. A down payment of X% of the amount is required to guarantee availability.

What are the financial benefits of solar power?

By installing a solar system for your own needs in your home, you save some of the ever-increasing electricity bills. Exactly how much you'll save depends on several factors. The power of the built system, solar heating for the given area and your individual needs.

What is the shipping cost?

The price of delivery is determined depending on the weight of the shipment, the choice of forwarding company, the availability of insurance and the urgency.

What are the environmental benefits of using solar systems?

Solar energy, like other renewable sources of electricity, has many environmental and health benefits. They reduce harmful emissions, which in turn helps to reduce global warming and air pollution leading to health problems.

Is my roof suitable for a solar installation?

The roof must be in very good condition with a guarantee for a minimum of 10 years of service life after the installation of the solar installation. The reason for this is that the installation of the system itself could cause damage if it is not in good condition. Also, if something happens to it and it needs repair you will have to uninstall the entire solar system to fix it.

Will I still pay for electricity if I have a solar system?

If you are connected to the central electricity distribution network - yes, you will continue to pay your electricity bills, which, in the best case, will be many times lower.

What will be the initial investment to build a photovoltaic system for own needs?

The power of each system is determined individually according to the needs of the specific home/villa. There are 3 options for building the connectivity of photovoltaic systems.

The first is ON GRID. Connection directly to the electrical grid. This is the cheapest option in terms of investment. With it, you use the energy produced during the day and supply the surplus of it to the electrical grid, if there is one. Accordingly, you also receive money for it. During all the time that your solar panels are not producing electricity for any reason, you continue to use the services of the electrical grid.

The second option is HYBRIDE. With it, the investment is greater due to the fact that you also purchase batteries to store the energy produced during the day and continue to use it during the non-sunny hours of the day. The residual energy, if any, is fed back to the electrical grid.

The third option is OFF GRID. A completely independent system from the presence of electrical grid. It requires the largest initial investment, but for remote access locations where connecting to the central network would be very expensive and difficult, it is a very suitable solution. Also for people who want to be completely independent in terms of energy.

How much does solar panels cost to maintain?

The maintenance of solar panels is very minimal and it can cost you next to nothing. Especially if you clean them yourself. If you still decide to use the services of a professional team for the purpose, it is good to do at least one cleaning a year. The prices in this case will depend entirely on the company you have chosen.

How long is the operating period of a photovoltaic system?

The service life of such a system is about 25-35 years, depending on the components in it. As their full warranty is usually at least 10 years.

How can I determine the cost of solar panels?

The price is determined per watt. This means that if you are looking at panels with different power at the same price, then the one with the higher power is more economical. But price is far from the only metric you should look at. We offer panels from established manufacturers in the solar energy industry, which in itself also guarantees high quality.

Does my roof need to face south to install solar panels on it?

It is recommended that it be directed to the south, because their productivity will be the greatest, but it is not necessary. Solar panels can also be installed on southwest and southeast terrains. If they are directed entirely to the east or west, they will work on 86% of the other options.

Do I need constant sunlight for my solar panels to work?

No, it is not necessary, moreover, it is not possible, there is always a dark part of the day. If you use batteries to store the energy produced during the day, you can use it even at night. In case you don't have it, you use the energy that is produced at the given moment.

If I have solar panels, can I disconnect myself from the Electrical Grid?

Yes, you could. This can only be done if the system is OFF GRID. Fully autonomous and self-sufficient system.

Do solar panels work in cloudy weather?

Yes. Although with less power, the sun's rays continue to reach the earth's surface even in dense cloud cover.

What if I have snow on the solar panels?

The snow must be cleaned up so they can continue to produce electricity. Most solar panels are installed at some tilt which makes it easier for them to self-clean. But if you still have to remove it, it won't be difficult for you because of their smooth surface.

Do solar panels work in shady locations?

They are not operating at 100% efficiency. Depending on the shading, their effectiveness can decrease very drastically. The shadow of physical objects on the panels is the biggest hindrance to their performance.
